It’s been a busy March for students in the EAST (Environmental and Spatial Technology) Program at Northeast Technology Center. March is filled with conferences and competitions. On March 3 students competed at state BPA event with Jordan Knott winning the JAVA Programming competition. He will now compete at Anaheim California for the national BPA conference.During Spring Break 8 high schools students went to Arkansas to attend the National EAST Conference. The entire EAST Program worked for the last month to prepare for this conference. The program had to prepare a booth and presentation to demonstrate all the projects they have been working during the school year. This year EAST@NTC worked on 23 projects with 20 clients. The program received a Superior Rating from EASTInititive which only the top 35% of schools receive each year. Over 200 schools participate in the EAST Conference each year.
